Privacy Policy — CycleMe

Last updated: April 3, 2026

CycleMe (“the App”) is a menstrual cycle tracking application developed by Mladjan Antic (“we”, “us”, “our”). We take your privacy seriously — especially when it comes to sensitive health data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Data We Collect

1.1 Health & Cycle Data (Provided by You)

  • Menstrual cycle dates, period length, and flow intensity
  • Symptoms (cramps, headache, bloating, fatigue, mood changes, breast tenderness, acne, back pain, nausea, and others) with severity ratings
  • Contraception method and daily tracking (e.g., pill taken/skipped)
  • Pregnancy status, start/end dates, pregnancy outcome, and postpartum tracking
  • Cycle regularity and default cycle/period length preferences
  • Notes attached to symptoms or cycle entries

All health and cycle data is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. It is never sent to our servers — we do not operate any servers that receive your health data.

1.2 Apple HealthKit Data

With your explicit permission, the App can:

  • Read menstrual flow, cervical mucus quality, ovulation test results, intermenstrual bleeding, sexual activity, contraceptive use, and symptoms (headache, abdominal cramps, bloating, mood changes, fatigue, breast pain, acne, lower back pain, nausea) from Apple Health.
  • Write period flow, symptoms, and contraception data back to Apple Health.

HealthKit data is governed by Apple's HealthKit policies and is never shared with third parties, used for advertising, or transferred off your device by us.

1.3 iCloud Backup Data (Pro Feature, Optional)

If you are a CycleMe Pro subscriber and choose to enable iCloud backup, your cycle data (cycle records, symptoms, contraception entries, and user profile) is backed up to your personal iCloud account via Apple CloudKit. This data is stored in your private CloudKit database — only you can access it. We cannot read, access, or retrieve your iCloud backup data.

1.4 Partner Sharing Data (Optional)

If you use the Partner Sharing feature, limited cycle information is shared with your connected partner(s) via Apple CloudKit. You control what is shared through configurable share levels:

  • Phases — current cycle phase only
  • Predictions — adds estimated next period date
  • Fertility Data — adds fertile window dates
  • Contraception — adds contraception method and status
  • All — all available cycle snapshot data

Shared data includes: current cycle day, cycle phase, predicted next period, fertile window dates, pregnancy status (if applicable), and contraception status (if selected). Shared data does not include raw symptom logs, severity ratings, or personal notes.

You can pause sharing, change share levels, or revoke partner access at any time. Partners connect via a temporary 6-character invite code that expires after 24 hours.

1.5 Analytics Data

We use Mixpanel to collect anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the App. Analytics events include:

  • App opens and onboarding steps
  • Feature usage (e.g., “symptom logged”, “pill taken”) — event names and counts only, not the actual health data content
  • Subscription events (paywall viewed, purchase completed/failed)
  • Settings changes (e.g., notifications toggled, discreet mode toggled)

We also store basic user properties: user mode (cycle owner or partner), app version, subscription plan, and premium status.

Analytics data does not include your name, email address, specific health data values, symptom details, cycle dates, or any personally identifiable information.

For more information, see Mixpanel's Privacy Policy.

1.6 Subscription Data

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes your subscription status, entitlements, and purchase transactions. RevenueCat does not receive your health data.

For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

1.7 Device-Level Data

The App stores the following locally on your device:

  • App preferences (onboarding status, discreet mode, notification settings)
  • Subscription status cache (stored in the iOS Keychain)
  • App lock passcode (stored securely in the iOS Keychain)
  • An encryption key for data protection (stored in the iOS Keychain)

This data never leaves your device.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
  • We do not use any third-party artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning services. The App's cycle predictions are calculated entirely on your device using standard medical algorithms.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
  • We do not operate backend servers that store your data. Your data lives on your device, in your personal iCloud account (if you opt in), and with the third-party services described above (Mixpanel for analytics, RevenueCat for subscriptions).

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Cycle predictions and insights: Your health data is processed locally on your device to calculate cycle phases, fertile windows, period predictions, and symptom patterns.
  • Notifications: Cycle, contraception, and health reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
  • Partner sharing: If you opt in, limited cycle snapshots are shared with your partner(s) via Apple CloudKit.
  • iCloud backup: If you opt in (Pro feature), your data is backed up to your personal iCloud account.
  • Analytics: Anonymous usage data helps us understand how the App is used so we can improve it.
  • Subscriptions: Purchase and entitlement data is processed by RevenueCat to manage your subscription.

5. Data Security

  • Health data is stored locally in an on-device database.

  • The App supports Face ID / passcode lock for additional protection.
  • Discreet Mode hides health-related labels from the App interface.
  • The App includes a Panic Wipe feature that instantly deletes all local and cloud data.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

  • You can delete all data at any time using the Panic Wipe feature in Settings, which removes all local data and any CloudKit data associated with your account.
  • Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
  • iCloud backup data can be removed via the Panic Wipe feature or through your iCloud account settings.
  • Mixpanel retains anonymous analytics data according to their retention policy.

7. Children's Privacy

CycleMe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
  • Data portability

Since your health data is stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you already have full control over it. For analytics data held by Mixpanel, or subscription data held by RevenueCat, please contact us and we will assist with your request.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
